Date #2
I met the New Yorker for a lunch date today. I took him to this really divy bar that serves delicious stuffed pizza. I find it comical that this hole in the wall still exists. The place is so tacky but sometimes I rather like tacky and kitsch things. I suppose this was kind of a test of mine to take him to this place. I wanted to see if he was down to earth and cool with it or repulsed by my choice. So he passed the test. We had lunch there and since it was a beautiful day out I brought him to this really nice park in the town I grew up in. I suppose this sounds really lame for a date but we had fun. We just sat in the sun and chatted about anything and everything. After I took him to my favorite place for ice cream. I dropped him at his car around 2 because he had to work at 3. He told me how much fun he had and we still have plans for Sunday. My mother and stepfather are going away overnight so I invited him over. I will try to behave myself. However I don't think he is the type to push sex so soon. We haven't even made out yet. It kind of reminds me when I was with Steve. I don't think we even french kissed until our 4th date. I guess this is the way you can really tell if someone is in to you and respects you. I can't tell you how many dates I have been on when the guys were all about making out and sex talk- of course the relationships, if we even had one was doomed and went nowhere. I decided to do some job searching today. I updated my resume and applied to about 7 places. So far I'm just using Monster. I hope to find something by November.
